Our
Story
In his hometown of Paese (Treviso), Odone Polin established 'Polin Odone,'
a small business specialising in manufacturing filter cells.
With the surge in economic growth,
the company is rebranded as General Filter.
General Filter became the first company in Southern Europe
to produce synthetic and glass fibre pocket filters.
The company becomes General Filter Italia Spa
General Filter expands internationally with the
establishment of a sales network throughout Europe and its first
subsidiary: General Filter Iberica S.A. in Spain.
General Filter invests in R&D and new production lines to
increase departmental automation to improve the productivity
and quality of its products.
A new 10,000 m2 production site is inaugurated in Paese.

General Filter Havak Ltd. were opened.
General Filter launches a new international corporate image
and a global brand awareness project
that includes an institutional communication campaign
o raise public awareness of the importance
of indoor and outdoor air quality.
In the year 2016, General Filter introduced a new range
of high-efficiency synthetic conventional pockets. In 2018, General Filter established
a state-of-the-art testing department, featuring a test tunnel for EN ISO 16890.
A new pleating machine for the production of filters with synthetic media
was added in 2019.
